The Horse C4 OHS-2270 is part of Horse's marine fire door lock lineup, built from AISI 304 stainless steel to withstand the corrosive conditions found on board vessels while helping reduce maintenance requirements. It is commonly specified alongside the C1 series where consistent lock hardware is required across different door types, while still meeting individual fire rating and handing requirements.

It comes as a 190mm case in RHO (right-hand opening) configuration, making it suitable for doors already prepared in this configuration and allowing straightforward replacement without extensive door or frame modifications. In line with the OHS series, the backset generally ranges from 55–60mm with a 65mm cylinder length, and the lock is designed to fit standard marine door thicknesses.

The fire-rated construction is designed to maintain lock functionality under heat exposure, making it suitable for fire doors and escape routes. Its stainless steel construction also provides improved resistance to corrosion in humid engine spaces and exposed deck access areas, helping support reliable long-term performance in demanding marine environments.
